Communications Policy

Clear boundaries for calls, texts, email, and online messages.

Icare uses communication channels to help with scheduling and care navigation. General messages are not a substitute for emergency services or a secure clinical conversation.

Choose the right channel

Keep sensitive health information in approved secure workflows.

Calls, texts, email, and general website messages may be useful for administrative questions, but privacy and response timing can vary by channel. Icare will identify any approved secure portal or clinical-message process when available.

  • 01

Use general messages for basic scheduling or contact questions

  • 02

Do not include unnecessary diagnoses, medications, identification numbers, or other sensitive details

  • 03

Follow staff instructions when a secure intake, records, or clinical workflow is required

  • 04

Communication preferences and consent options may depend on the channel and applicable rules

Your choices

Ask how a communication method will be used.

The final communications notice will describe the channels Icare actively uses, expected response times, consent and opt-out choices, message-frequency and carrier-charge disclosures when applicable, and how communication records are handled.
